Purchased EFG125 48” to use behind my Deere 1025R. Received the unit in good time considering the state of the world lately. Paid for the lift gate service and it was well worth it. FED EX driver wheeled it right into the garage. The unit comes well packaged.
I am impressed with the build quality considering the price. Have only had the time to use it once so far, the 1025R handles it quite well. This thing turns the power of the Deere into sheer destruction. It handled everything I threw at it, and.my tractor rated at 18 pto horsepower never seemed to struggle. The only issue I ran into is the pin worked loose from the kick stand and the mower ended up beating it up pretty good. So after one use I would recommend this unit.looking forward to getting more use out of it and eventually changing over to grass blades.
So far it looks like a good flail mower. Only wish it was designed for a quick hitch. I will have to modify for my needs.
I have a half acre of green irrigated lawn to mow and abut 3 acres of rough dry land to maintain. After researching whether a flail mower would do a good job trimming a groomed lawn I purchased the FH-EFG155 flail mower for my Massey Ferguson GC 1715 tractor. the price was less than half that of a mid mount mower. The package arrived exactly on time. The packaging was amazing. The setup was typical of a 3 point implement. Attaching the stand was a pain. It requires removal of half the front skirt guards. I also drilled another hole to offset it from center. If installed in the center, and stored there, the stand will impact the drive line. Mine came with the mulching hammer blades. I sharpened them and it does a better job of grooming my irrigated lawn than any riding mower I have used. This a very robust unit and does a great job on the dry acreage. I have cut tall dead dead grass and even a 3 ft tall tree. It took two passes but produced a fairly clean result. The only down side would be that it is not as nimble as a mid mount mower.
